I am Lena Chandler and Swedish by origin.  I moved to England in my mid-20s and have worked and lived there since.   However, Sweden is still very close to my heart, and I spend a lot of time there.

I am mainly self-taught, with inspiration and advice from several talented painters, such as Anne-Marie Harvey, Linda Smith, Sue Dean, Sue Gay, Lars-Goran Abrahamsson, Daniel Zerbst and Fernando Martinez Roselli.

I am a member of Harpenden Arts Club, St Alban's Art Society and SAA (Society for All Artists).  I have exhibited regularly with my local art club and "Art on the Common " in Harpenden.

In 2008 "Artistic Mix" was created - a group of four local artists Alison Ascott, Samantha Terry, Anne Hignell and myself.  We inspire, support and critique each other as well as paint and exhibit together.  We have a shared exhibition on 31st October in The Methodist Church Hall, Harpenden High Street.   Please see here further details.

I also do commissioned work so please contact me if you are interested.

Other future plans are to run art sessions for pregnant women and those who hope to be pregnant.  Please contact me if you interested in taking part.
